Health is Indeed Wealth: The Most Overlooked Aspect of Life
Physical health is one of the most important aspects of life that is usually overlooked.
Sadly, it is easily and frequently ignored as some people give more priority to spending money on buying material "stuff" than taking care of their health.
Others are simply not mindful of the kinds of food they eat, even when it is already harmful to the overall wellbeing.
It is vital to find balance in the physical as it is in other areas of life, more so because without our bodies we can't do anything, literally.

Being physically fit helps us fulfill our life purpose daily.
Finding Balance
To find balance in the physical, there are only two principles we need to know:
1. Eat right.
2. Exercise regularly.
Pretty simple and easy to remember, but so hard to apply for most. Why? Because most people equate happiness with pleasure.

Some associate happiness with five bottles of beer after a hard day’s work.
I'm not saying that it's wrong to drink beer, but if you consume that much every day then it may be detrimental to your wellbeing.
Some people think that because they were in so much torture and stress because of work, they deserve a sugary, greasy, cholesterol-laden cheeseburger in order to be happy.
Eating for pleasure, and not for nutrition and sustenance, which is actually not food’s primal purpose.
Food is for Nourishment, not Pleasure
Man originally ate for nourishment, to have energy the body needs to function well every day.
But producers has transformed it into some form of entertainment that takes a toll on the human body... for money.
I'm saddened by the fact that companies and corporations around the world willingly produce unhealthy products and let my children eat those foods just for them to make money.
Organic, straight-from-the-vine fruits and vegetables are the best to eat, although they are hard to find, expensive, and you have no way of telling if it's the real deal if ever you found one.

Planting in the backyard is a solution, but in this day and age not all people have the time to do that anymore.
What to Eat
As much as possible, avoid alcoholic drinks and food that are loaded with sugar and fat.
As for beverage, clean, plain water is sufficient.
Having a diet high in sugar and trans fats is said to be the biggest contributor when it comes to chronic inflammation, and chronic inflammation results in debilitating conditions such as depression, dementia, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and cancer.
Here is a short list of things that your diet should have more of:
Salmon. Or any type of saltwater fish. Wild salmon is the best as it contains a large amount of omega 3 fatty acids that fights chronic inflammation.
Kelp. These are large seaweeds that are high in fiber that reduces the risk of liver and lung cancer.
Extra virgin olive oil. 100 percent pure is high in polyphenol antioxidants that help fight oxidative stress.
Cruciferous vegetables. Common types of this are cabbage, kale, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, turnips, and arugula. These are natural detoxifiers that are very fibrous and full of antioxidants.
Blueberries. The most potent antioxidant. It protects the brain from deterioration and prevents certain cancers. It also lowers and regulates blood sugar and alleviates depression.

Ginger. Helps regulate blood sugar and prevents inflammation. It also eases gastrointestinal sicknesses.
Garlic. Very effective in battling infection and chronic inflammation. Also improves cardiovascular strength.

When it comes to exercise, consistency, not intensity, is the key.
A moderate but daily 30-minute jog is highly effective in keeping blood sugar to normal levels.
Being physically active actually combats many harmful health conditions and diseases by increasing the production of good cholesterol in your body.
Not only that, regular exercise prevents you from becoming obese. Obesity is generally linked to a number of health concerns such as heart diseases, strokes, and diabetes.
Having a more active lifestyle will not only keep you slimmer and looking younger, it also helps to improve your moods, increase your energy, and make you more sexually potent.

Good Physical Health Means Better Productivity
Good physical health results in better productivity. Obviously.
Sick employees are not productive. Vice versa, healthy ones are more productive.
Sick parents are not effective in raising their children. Healthy ones are more capable.
Sick leaders are not effective in leading. Healthy ones also lead their people to become healthy and well.
The healthier, the better.
By consuming the right nutrition and exercising regularly, you can achieve wellness in your physical life that will ultimately result in more happiness not only for you but also for your loved ones and those around you.
