Enjoy The Music
With a deadly pandemic sweeping across the planet, one cannot help but feel anxious, or uneasy at least.
People are losing their incomes. Students have stopped attending their classes. Roads are closing. And perhaps, more terrifying than the others, our elderly and those with underlying conditions have a high risk of being fatally affected by COVID-19.
Surely, these are highly stressful times.
The Future Is Unsure
Come to think of it, the future is uncertain. Even if these were normal times, we don't really know what will happen from one day to the next.
But during this Enhanced Community Quarantine period, the feeling of insecurity and uncertainty seem to double each passing day.
Like many others, I also feel this way.
God Is Always With Us
We had our online discipleship group session last night and we talked about Psalm 46:1.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1It was a great reminder that real security is from the Lord, He is the source of our strength, and that He will always be there for His children no matter what.
The secret is to continually seek Him wholeheartedly and to make our relationship with Him deeper and deeper every day.
Enjoy The Music
How do I do this? By praying. By reading and meditating on God's Word every day. By having a set routine.
By enjoying the little things that I haven't appreciated that much before, like:
- talking to my son
- the feel of a pencil
- the sound of the wind
- listening to old songs
- watching my childhood movies
- etc.
Let's hold on to the promises in His Word and enjoy the music we are given right now.
