Renewed Daily In The Time Of COVID-19

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." - 2 Corinthians 4:16

Discouragement is all around us. Especially in this new normal of a world we live in. 

Prices are getting higher, people are getting harder to get along with. Everyone seemed to be concerned only about their own mortality.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. However, the truth is we are mere mortals and death is inevitable for all of us. 

The important thing is to continue trusting God is in control. No matter what happens let us continue to have faith in Him. I know, it's easier said than done. But as followers of Christ, we have to try.

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS 

The Bible said we are not to become discouraged or anxious (Matthew 6:25-34). We are not to allow ourselves to become wearied or fearful (Isaiah 41:10). 

Although our physical bodies are growing older, and we notice that our outer man is progressively decaying and wasting away - and now there is always this threat of a disease which could potentially take our lives - God renews our inner self, our spirit, day after day.

What a wonderful truth to receive in our lives. God provides us a clean slate every day. And it is up to us what to do with this fresh start. Every day is the first day of the rest of our lives.

FINAL WORDS

I pray that we continue to stand strong in faith and to press on as we remain prepared for Jesus' return. When this mortal body will be clothed with an imperishable one. All for His praise and glory!

PRAYER

Thank You, Father, for You renew our inner man each waking day. Thank You for our present privileged position in Christ and for the glorious future destiny we have in heaven. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
