Staying Strong Through Life’s Storms
Coming from this idea, I’ve painted "Deep Roots", an acrylic painting of a tree, lush and unwavering, standing tall against an open sky. What should be keeping it steady isn’t just what we see, but what’s beneath the surface. Its deep roots, not visible in the painting, keep the tree anchored, no matter the season.
It reminds me of Psalm 1:3: "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither." When we stay rooted in faith, wisdom, and truth, we can stand strong even when life gets tough. We bend, yes, but we won’t break.
People, much like trees, need strong foundations. Whether it's values, purpose, or inner resolve, what we cultivate within ourselves determines how well we withstand life's trials. When deeply rooted, we don’t just survive adversity—we grow through it.
Storms will come, there’s no denying that. But they don’t have to define us. The deeper our roots, the stronger we stand.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
